We checked one of the back up files by installing Quicken on another computer and it opened there fine, so I don't think the it is a case of corrupt data file at all. In fact with customer support's guidance, I even started a *new* data file and it too crashed when the time came to display the accounts. I tried double-clicking on a backup file and it did the same thing other older backups do the same. Tried a few more times with the same result.
